When I founded SIA NOIR, my dream was to create timeless products that bring joy to everyday life. However, along the way, I found myself thinking more and more often whether this company could also have a greater purpose.
I myself have been a low-income single parent. I know what it feels like to count euros and wonder if there is enough money for all your everyday expenses. I also know what it feels like when a child wishes they could start a hobby, but that is not always possible.
Life has taught me a lot. I have seen firsthand how important support can be when a person is going through difficult times. That is why the mental health of children and young people, low-income families with children and lonely elderly people are especially close to my heart. Behind each of these groups are people in whose lives even a little help can mean a lot.
That is why I decided that I want SIA NOIR to be more than an online store. I want to build a company that can grow and do good at the same time.

Kun perustin SIA NOIRin, unelmani oli luoda ajattomia tuotteita, jotka tuovat iloa arkeen. Matkan varrella huomasin kuitenkin ajattelevani yhä useammin, voisiko tällä yrityksellä olla myös suurempi tarkoitus.
Olen itse ollut vähävarainen yksinhuoltaja. Tiedän, miltä tuntuu laskea euroja ja pohtia, riittävätkö rahat kaikkiin arjen menoihin. Tiedän myös, miltä tuntuu, kun lapsi toivoisi pääsevänsä harrastukseen, mutta siihen ei aina ole mahdollisuutta.
Elämä on opettanut minulle paljon. Olen nähnyt läheltä, kuinka tärkeää tuki voi olla silloin, kun ihminen kohtaa vaikeita aikoja. Siksi sydäntäni lähellä ovat erityisesti lasten ja nuorten mielenterveys, vähävaraiset lapsiperheet sekä yksinäiset vanhukset. Jokaisen näiden ryhmien takana on ihmisiä, joiden elämässä pienikin apu voi merkitä paljon.
Tämän vuoksi päätin, että haluan SIA NOIRin olevan enemmän kuin verkkokauppa. Haluan rakentaa yrityksen, joka voi kasvaa ja samalla tehdä hyvää.
